Eric Casas' '67 Mustang

Hi.  This is my '67 Mustang Coupe that I've had since 1994.  She's been in the family since 1970.

This site is under construction and has some preloaded Corvette stuff on here.  Don't be confused if some of it is still on here.  I will erase all of that Chevy non-sense as quickly as possible.

Here's a quick run down on some of the mods:

She's originally a 289 / 4-speed car that has had a 351W (.030 over) put in.  The drivetrain is out of a '69 Mustang Mach 1.  I've done a bunch of mods.  The forged internals are balanced and were given slightly more slack to allow for higher revving.  Due to the closed chambered Windsor Sr. heads and the forged Arias pop up pistons, I now have a ridiculous 13.5:1 compression ratio.  I would much rather be around 11:1 but maybe I can change that when I finally decide to stroke this 351 out.  I'm running a Lunati Billet solid roller cam .666/.641 lift w/ Crane roller lifters, Comp. Cams springs, titanium retainers, locks, girdled so on and so on.  I'm running a Victor Jr. intake and a Holley 750 double pumper HP.  Also have a 175 shot of NOS that has yet to be used.  In the 9" rear end, I have a posi with a 4.10 gear ratio and 26" x 11.5 M/T ET Streets to put it all down.  Future mods will be 1 3/4 inch primary tube headers that go down to a 3.5" collector so that I can run 3" exhaust w/ dumps before the axle.  I currently just run open headers since she doesn't get out to the street that often.  I plan on changing that.  Also, (obviously) need a paint job, who knows when I'll get to that.  Later on down the line, I would like to stroke the 351 out to a 408 or so.

Here are some misc. pics of the car:

STILL WORKING ON THE CUSTOM INTERIOR:

Here's a pic of the interior. I'm almost done. I stripped everything down to bare metal, primered and then painted low gloss black. I took a new '67 instrument bezel and honed out all of the holes to accomodate larger Autometer guages. The dash mounted nitrous pressure / air/fuel guages are not installed yet. The stereo system bumps. Has a 300 watt amp in the back and a removable sub-box to reduce weight when needed.

Thanks goes out to www.mustangsandmore.com for the free webpage hosting and the excellent forums. It's a great place for advice and there is a wealth of knowlege there. My local Mustang club is Austin Area Stangs:
